believe institute

The Believe Institute is a leadership training organisation dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders through values education and youth development. Our mission is to collaborate with local governments and educational institutions to deliver programs that align with the Department of Education’s objectives and values.

Our values-based programs are designed to be accessible, inclusive and transformative, equipping students with the mindset, skills and confidence to be leaders who make a lasting impact in their communities.

The Believe Institute views the current global phenomena coined the ‘Youth Bulge’ — a growing proportion of young people worldwide — not as a challenge, but as a valuable opportunity to empower these young people to change the fabric of their local cultures in a positive and transformative way. We believe that investing in youth leadership development today will result in a stronger, more compassionate society of the future.

conference

The Believe Institute’s Future Leaders Conference draws together the top ten students nominated by each participating high school, for two days of intensive, interactive leadership training. By participating in engaging workshops, group challenges and practical sessions, students learn about  leadership ideals, the power of collaboration and the art of innovation.

These events are designed to act as a catalyst for generational mindset change by empowering students who currently hold leadership positions and those who have been identified as displaying leadership potential,  to further develop their natural talents and become more effective, community-minded leaders of the future.

training program

The Future Leaders Training Program is a four-year leadership and personal development curriculum designed to create deep, transformational change in participating students.

The program combines lessons on mindset, identity and emotional intelligence with practical skill development to provide a well-rounded foundation for personal growth and effective leadership. Topics range from identifying personal strengths and talents to effective communication, teamwork, presentation skills and Curriculum Vitae writing for employment readiness.

Each class follows a blended learning model and incorporates a 10–20 minute video lesson presented by a global leader, followed by guided class discussions and reflective activities. Students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zone and learn by collaborating with others.

Program Highlights

  • Four-year comprehensive curriculum supporting existing school syllabus
  • Integrates personal development with leadership techniques
  • Focuses on ethical, community-oriented leadership
  • Addresses key social challenges such as inequality and cultural division
  • Develops practical life skills for personal and societal contribution

Teacher Resources
Educators receive detailed lesson plans which include learning objectives, success criteria, discussion questions, suggested exercises and homework tasks. These resources ensure that facilitators are well-equipped to deliver engaging and effective lessons.

Student Resources
Schools receive spiral-bound student workbooks containing guided note-taking pages, discussion prompts and reflection activities. Students can complete exercises in class, with unfinished sections forming meaningful homework tasks.

Teacher Training and Professional Development
The Believe Institute is committed to empowering local educators to confidently facilitate our programs. We offer regular teacher training workshops that cover course facilitation, student engagement strategies and adaptable tools that teachers can use across all subjects.
