community hubs
Each Community Hub has been designed to help overcome physical and cultural barriers that have historically hindered the development of communities in rural areas.
Hubs are strategically positioned in a central meeting place for each community and purpose-built to meet the greatest needs that have been identified in consultation with local community leaders. Each Hub is fitted out with audio-visual equipment and reliable internet for ease of global connectivity, program delivery and practical training.
While youth development is a strong focus in each location — in response to the current phenomenon of ‘Youth Bulge’— hubs also offer programs that facilitate health services, mature age literacy and local church gatherings.
To date, Believe Community Hubs have been established in two districts of Papua New Guinea: Mandress (Gazelle District) and Kupiano (Abau District). These rural communities continue to experience greater levels of local and international connectivity, and enjoy the benefits of educational initiatives, youth empowerment programs and community outreach opportunities.
Kids Club
Kids Club is an engaging, values-based personal development program designed to inspire children under the age of twelve to dream big, discover their potential and develop confidence in every area of their life.
The Hub provides a welcoming and safe space with a positive atmosphere where children can feel a sense of belonging and connection with other children and trusted children’s workers from all over the world.
Held weekly at the Believe Community Hub, the Kids Club Program incorporates arts and crafts, music and play to create a fun and nurturing environment in which children can learn and grow.
Youth Club
Youth Club operates every Friday afternoon at the Believe Community Hub, providing a dynamic space for teenagers from the local community to grow, connect and thrive.
Through engaging activities such as sports competitions and leadership workshops, young people learn valuable personal development and leadership principles that prepare them for future success.
Youth Club fosters a sense of belonging and encourages the building of positive relationships. Programs help participants develop strong values, build their personal resilience and live with vision for a brighter future.
